What Are We Trying To Do At CCI Group - “A Project Manager’s Perspective”

Today, the architectural millwork industry is a competitive, challenging, and innovative industry. We find ourselves having to change and adapt to market standards daily to stay competitive but yet still deliver a quality product. Sometimes that can be the tipping point that sets a good casework manufacturer apart from a great casework manufacturer.

At CCI group, we strive to meet all our challenges head-on and adapt to every customers wants and needs. As one may know, this can sometimes be challenging, but at CCI we strategically plan to meet the needs of our customers. In addition, CCI strives to provide a rewarding and opportunistic workplace that its employees find fun, challenging, and accomplished. CCI wants all of its employees to have the opportunity to advance to the next level within their career path and rise to meet their own expectations. And finally, within every industry there is stiff competition. Cost and quality play two major factors with all competitors, but at CCI we strive to deliver more than just cost and quality.

1.) What are we doing strategically to meet the needs of our customers?

When it comes down to an opportunity to buy a service or even a product, most people think to themselves, “what’s in it for me” or “what can you do for me”. With some of our customer relationships being older than 20 years, we have learned innovative ways to adapt to an industry that wants an easy solution. CCI has stayed up-to-date in the industry from our engineering processes to the way a job is produced. Since the market crash in 2008, the industry and our customers have cut their costs and schedule durations. The costs and time has made us think about ways to operate efficiently to meet those strict deadlines. In order to adapt, our engineering department uses industry leading design software that effectively communicates with our shop equipment to produce a precise product. The time it takes to engineer a job and produce it continues to decrease as we adapt to new technology and processes.

Over the years, CCI has found products and methods that help our customers alleviate costs regarding the lifecycle of custom commercial millwork. As time tells, the past years have given CCI the opportunity to test and evaluate the design and functionality of our products. We continue to develop new ideas and designs that put our customer’s products over the top by providing the end user with an easy and efficient way of doing business.

2.) What is CCI doing internally to become a great workplace?

When I think about working at CCI, I think of one word, opportunity. CCI upper management gives all of its employees an opportunity. The opportunity can be letting your voice be heard about an idea or even an opportunity to try a different position out. We find great worth in someone that strives to be diversified. Why? Well it’s not just for the benefit of the company; it’s also for the benefit of the employee. The more knowledge someone has, the more successful they feel and they more they enjoy their job; In turn, creating a rewarding workplace. We also actively hold meetings to discuss quality issues, concerns or even better ways of doing something. If there is a problem or concern within a department, everyone in that department can have a say, not just the managers or leaders. At CCI, the sky is the limit.  We all strive to make the workplace a fun and rewarding opportunity.

3.) What separates CCI Group from the competition?

As stated above, competition in our industry can be very competitive regarding cost and quality. CCI strives to deliver a quality product at a competitive cost on every job but beyond the cost, CCI provides a much greater asset; service. With previously working for a large nationwide general contractor, the one aspect that lacked in most contracting companies was their service to the customer. CCI strives to make every job as easy as possible to our customer. Our customer may be the general contractor, an architect, or even an owner of a business. CCI’s management team values the relationship with each and every customer. What is the main component in any relationship? Communication! Communication is key in providing a superior service. It eliminates mistakes, allows us to deliver a project on time and within budget, and provides a way for CCI to express ways to make a product superior to market standards. At CCI, you will not find someone that “beats around the bush”. Everyone that I have the pleasure of working with is honest and open about issues or concerns. Service to the customer is one value that I feel separates CCI Group from the competition.

I want to thank you for your time and hope that you “Experience the Difference” with CCI Group.
